Las Vegas is a destination known primarily for gambling. And not everyone wins. However, in our educated "gamble" of displaying Diagnostics in AAPEX and Wheel Service Equipment and Lifts in SEMA, the hand we showed was nothing short of a full house! In AAPEX, we entered the GDS, Cresetter and XSonicClean BT into the new product showcase. Visitors to our booth were delighted to see the GDS hooked up to a 2011 Chevy Malibu with full bi-directional controls. The GDS stole the show with its unmatched speed and access of the Malibu's many controllers. With the addition of internet wifi coupled with one-button, on-the-fly updateability, and the added availability of a scope, sensorbox and battery module, the latest scan tool from Launch surely set the bar for the competition and proved once more that Launch is the pioneer in the Automotive Aftermarket! We were also very pleased to be visited by our National Accounts, namely Mac Tools, Matco and Cornwell, along with Napa and Pepboys. We received numerous inquiries to develop private labeled scan tools and code readers for these accounts, and we took this as a sign that relationships are as strong as ever and that the outlook for 2012 is very bright! Launch also held its first awards dinner in Maggiano's Little Italy. In our very own private room, CEO Jeffrey Qu opened the night with a very uplifting speech regaling Launch's positive growth despite the down turned economy, along with his vision for 2012. This was then followed by VP of Diagnostics, Harlan Siegel, and Director of Wheel Service Equipment, Chuck Downs, bestowing awards to the Top Growth accounts and Manufacturer's Representatives. Cornwell Tools' Don Russell and John Chapman were on hand to receive National Account Top Sales per Distributor, while Matco Tools' Mark Thomas received Matco's award for Top Growth National Account. Rounding out the winners in the National Account category was Mac Tools, with Paul Zarlengo receiving the award for Top Overall Sales-National Account. Jim Denneny and Gary Schmidt both won awards for Top Sales-Diagnostics, while Jim Denneny, Orson Klender and Richard Purdom won awards on the Wheel Service Equipment side. Circling back to the show, Launch displayed its latest Wheel Service Equipment line, including the X631 Plus and Plus-D in SEMA. But, without a doubt, stealing the show was Launch Tech USA's very own ETL/ALI certified lift (one of three certified models). Director of Lift Operations, Sam Fielden, was very busy entertaining numerous inquiries. Some very big names in the industry have show interest in a private labeled version of these certified lifts. Overall, and to sum-up this year's AAPEX and SEMA show in one closing statement, it is a safe bet that existing accounts are very interested in our current Diagnostic product line and look forward to selling the GDS, while on the SEMA side, brand awareness for Launch's Wheel Service Equipment Line and ALI/ETL certified Lifts was definitely generated, all of which should boost interest and strong sales for the Launch brand in 2012. See you next year in Las Vegas!
